Using Predefined Merge Fields

  • Updated

Using CD Designer, you can merge data or graphic images to the label at the time of printing.  (CD Designer v.7.51 or later)  This requires a CD Designer label (.btw file format) and a merge file containing the merge text or the path and filename of the compatible graphic image.

Rimage software understands certain predefined merge fields.  These fields can be used in a variety of different ways!  For example, if you are spanning data over five discs and want "Disc 1 of 5" to display on your labels, enter "RMG_CurrentOfTotal" in the Field Name space at the time of label design.

  • NOTE: When you use one of the Rimage predefined merge fields do not enter anything in the Sample Data space.

The following predefined merge fields are available:

  • RMG_CurrentOfTotal - For spanning sets in format (e.g, "1 of 6").
  • RMG_CurrentDisc - Current disc in a spanning set in format (e.g., "1").
  • RMG_DiscsInSet - Total discs for span set in format (e.g., "6").
