Resolving Open Disc Verify Failures.

This is a known issue with Optiarc recorders when the disc is left open (not finalized). Typically there is a 5-7% failure rate with open (non-finalized) discs. The errors only occur if Verification is enabled, and it manifests as a Failed Verify.


This is especially a problem with Network Publisher jobs. By default, Network Publisher leaves the discs open unless the order explicitly closes the disc. To resolve this issue in Network Publisher, add fixate = NOAPPEND to the NWP order file. To resolve the issue in QuickDisc, make sure the Finalize Disc option in the Recording section is checked in the QuickDisc Preferences.
