How to run the recovery process without using the embedded PC power button to reboot

Follow the steps below to begin the recovery process without using the embedded PC power button.

Place the recovery disc in the bottom recorder.
Reboot using the Restart Computer icon on the Desktop.
Tip: Follow the steps below if you do not have the Restart Computer icon.

  • Navigate: Start > Run.
  • Enter 'shutdown -r -t 5'.
  • Press the OK button.
  • Note: This technique only works if Windows is able to fully boot-up.



*Note:  Running the recovery will reformat the hard drive of the embedded PC and all data will be lost.
