Over the life of our products, technology continues to change and adapt to an evolving world. This includes hardware and other electronic components as our suppliers change parts or as we source new components of higher performance or durability. Although the look and feel of a particular model may remain consistent, internal components may change almost completely over a few years. Additionally, changes to libraries, operating systems or other software packages the Rimage software interfaces with means continually evolving software.
Over time, components originally used to build systems are no longer available, meaning these systems are no longer able to be serviced. When Rimage can no longer source new, reliable hardware components to repair our systems and printers, we designate these products to be End of Service. Similarly, changes to software may mean we are no longer able to continue supporting certain software components, we designate the software End of Service.
