Resetting the ribbon counter on an Everest printer.

If a used or partial ribbon is installed in the printer, the print count may not reset automatically. Use the procedure below to manually reset the ribbon counter on an Everest III or 600 printer.

1. From the Windows Start menu, select Printers and Faxes. The Printers and Faxes window opens.

• Tip: In Windows Vista, select: Start > Control Panel > Printers.

2. Right-click the Everest III or Everest 600 printer and select Printing Preferences. The Printing Preferences window opens.

• Note: Do not select the Everest III/600 on COMx in the Printers and Faxes window.

3. Select the Utility tab.

4. Select Status Monitor. The Everest Status Monitor utility opens.

5. Select Options.

6. Select Reset prints.The ribbon count resets to 500.
