Swapping hard drives between two motherboards.


It is possible to take the HDDs from an embedded system and place them in another equivalent system.

As long as the systems have the same motherboard, the hard drives will boot the previously loaded operating system. However, in most cases, different drives are needed. If the motherboards are not the same, you will need to run a Recovery Disc.
